WAGUYA

Located in the heart of Toulouse on the intimate Couteliers street, the Restaurant Wagyuya BBQ delivers an authentic charcoal yakiniku experience featuring premium A5 Kagoshima Wagyu and select prime meats.

To elevate this unique culinary journey, the restaurant features a chic design with traditional Japanese arts and crafts. In total, 8 different teams and 14 months of constant work from conception, construction survey to the day of the opening for this complete mission.

Kintsugi

This series of eight mosaics was born from a dialogue between two ancestral gestures: kintsugi, the Japanese art of repair, and Japanese yakiniku. Each piece is made from second-hand plates, charged with a past life, shared meals, and repeated gestures.

They are intentionally broken, then intuitively reassembled without attempting to return to their original form. They are filled with gold mosaics in the manner of kintsugi, emphasizing the breaks rather than denying them. Here, the gold acts like the fire of the barbecue: it marks, reveals, and elevates. It transforms fragility into value.

Kumiko

The Kumiko lantern, 15m long, visually traces and structures the room into two distinct volumes. Its lampshade is meticulously crafted using the Kumiko technique, a traditional Japanese method of assembling wooden pieces entirely without screws.
